After many
years of being connected to the maple syrup business through parents and
grandparents, Roes Family Maple purchased our own sugar bush in 1989. We
processed sap from approximately 1200 taps into maple syrup in that
original building until 1995 when it was completely destroyed in a fire.
A new larger sugar house was constructed that summer and is being used
at the present time.
Over the
years, we have increased our number of tree taps and this Spring,
2006, we had about 3200. We also process sap from other area sugar
makers and produce about 900 gallons of maple syrup in our 6' by 16'
evaporator. We pride ourselves in producing a high quality, 100% pure,
all natural product.
